Who we are
ARAS supplies material handling equipment from a base in Dubai: machines for moving, storing and controlling materials, goods and products.
The company was founded in 1997 and registered as a Free Zone Entity in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Dubai. Since then we have worked with regional and multinational companies, SMEs and corporate customers, across cargo handling, unit manufacturing and third-party logistics (3PL).
Today ARAS Developments FZE is the authorised UAE distributor of Soosung, the South Korean material-handling manufacturer, and also supplies its own ARAS Handling Equipment brand. We sell and rent electric forklifts in the 1 to 3 tonne range, along with electric reach trucks, articulated and very-narrow-aisle (VNA) forklifts, reach stackers, pallet stackers, scissor lifts and pallet trucks, delivering to customers across all seven emirates with genuine spare parts and after-sales support from our Jebel Ali Free Zone base.

The name ARAS
The name ARAS is for our late founder, Arastou Etemad Emami. He trained as an industrial engineer in Hamburg and ran several businesses in Germany, including a machine factory in Lauenburg. He started ARAS to bring that standard of engineering to material handling in the Gulf.
Our Jafza premises hold ready stock, so most requirements can be answered quickly and priced competitively. Our people are the reason that works, and they are given what they need to answer a requirement properly.
Where we are
ARAS sits inside the Jebel Ali Free Zone, next to Port Jebel Ali. Jafza hosts more than 120 Fortune 500 corporations and over 6,400 companies, from warehouses and light industrial units to cargo handlers, logistics providers and supply chain management firms.
Being in the free zone puts us next to the port and inside the estate where many of our customers work. The practical advantage is short distances, for delivery and for service.
What we do
At ARAS, we supply material handling equipment for the movement, storage, and control of materials, goods, and products. We also advise on which machine suits a given aisle, load and shift pattern, which is usually a shorter conversation than people expect.
The range covers manual hand pallet trucks, electric power stackers, electric power reach stackers and electric forklifts, for work from manufacturing and distribution through to disposal. The right machine for the job makes handling easier, cheaper to run and, where it is electric, cleaner.

Warranty
New machines carry 12 months or 2,000 hours of warranty, whichever comes first.
Delivery and lead time
Machines held in Jebel Ali stock usually reach JAFZA and Dubai South the same day or the next; elsewhere in the UAE it is a matter of days. If the configuration you need has to be built and shipped, allow 8 to 12 weeks from order, including freight and customs clearance.
Servicing
After the warranty period, servicing runs on a fixed-price annual contract with an agreed number of visits, so the cost is known in advance.
