Walkie Lithium-Ion Power Pallet Truck

The EPT15H and EPT20H are walk-behind electric pallet trucks powered by lithium-ion batteries, rated at 1.5 and 2.0 tonnes. Lithium-ion is the main draw here. It tops up in opportunity windows, a break or a shift change, instead of needing a long recharge and a separate charging room, which keeps the truck working through long days in warehouses, shops and production areas.

Light enough to go where a forklift can’t. At 125 kg the truck is easy to walk, and compact enough to work inside a container, on a tail-lift or in a goods elevator – the jobs where a heavier machine simply won’t fit. The 65 mm lowered fork height lets it slide under low-profile and closed-bottom pallets that taller forks foul on.

A brushless motor that pulls its weight. The 750 W (EPT15H) or 1000 W (EPT20H) brushless drive moves up to two tonnes and keeps pulling on a gradient – 20% unladen and 6% with a full load – so it copes with dock ramps and the slight falls across older warehouse floors. Brushless means no motor brushes to wear out, which is most of what keeps it close to maintenance-free.

Lithium-ion is what makes it an all-day truck. A full charge takes about two hours, and you can top up in any break instead of parking the truck for hours. Running two shifts, the battery swaps out in around six seconds, so one spare keeps the truck working round the clock. The pack has built-in protection against overcharge, over-discharge and overheating, and the truck is built to IEC and UL safety standards.

Built to last. A reinforced chassis and forks resist the flexing that opens up over years of use, and ARAS rates the truck for roughly three times the working life of a manual pallet truck – which is how the higher purchase price pays back.

Clear information at the operator’s hand. The tiller head carries an LCD screen showing battery charge, an hour meter and any fault codes, so the operator and the workshop both know where the truck stands. Forward and reverse run off butterfly switches under the thumbs, with a belly emergency-reverse button and a horn within easy reach.

Charging built in. An on-board intelligent charger means there is no separate charging station to find – plug it into any socket – and covers over the drive motor keep dust and knocks away from the parts that matter.

It fits the everyday moving work in busy warehouses and high-density storage: shifting palletised stock from receiving to the racks and back out to dispatch, without the cost or footprint of a ride-on truck.

Runs all day. With fast opportunity charging and a swappable battery, the truck can keep going around the clock on a multi-shift site. Lower running cost. Lithium-ion needs little maintenance and lasts longer than lead-acid, so the cost over the life of the truck works out lower. Safer and cleaner. Standard safety features and an easy walk-behind layout keep the operator comfortable, and the battery gives off no fumes, so it is fine to charge and run indoors.
